Creating a princess-inspired bedroom doesn’t have to break the bank; it just requires some creativity, patience, and a hint of DIY.

In this blog post, I’ll share some tips and tricks for designing a magical bedroom fit for your little princess by sharing my step-by-step process of creating my daughter’s room.

So I gave my daughter’s room a nice little makeover and changed it into a princess inspired girl’s room!

How to Create The Perfect Princess Bedroom For Your Little Girl

Here are some simple ways to create the perfect princess-inspired bedroom for your little girl:

1) Pick the Perfect Color Scheme:

A princess-inspired little girl’s bedroom cannot exist without some serious pink and white, It’s a classic choice that never goes out of style. Use light pink for the walls and white for the trim as well as furniture.

You can also add a little shimmering silver, airy turquoise, or soft lilac into the mix. Don’t hesitate to experiment with various shades and textures to see what works best for you.

This set was a bit easier for me to play around with since I wanted to incorporate Disney Princesses into my daughter’s princess themed room. And if you are familiar with the princesses’ outfits, you know they are in almost every color! So this made this part a lot easier to complete.

2) Add a canopy bed:

A girl’s bedroom isn’t complete without a beautiful canopy bed. You can create a princess bed using a simple DIY canopy or buy one from the store and dress it up with beautiful white bedding and fluffy pillows.

Or you can go with a cute house bed frame bed like the one I use for Kaylynn’s bed. You can also add some fairy lights or drapes to create a magical atmosphere in the room.

3) DIY Princess-inspired wall decorations:

One of the best things about creating a princess-inspired bedroom is the decorations. You can make all sorts of decorations with just your little one’s favorite princess in mind.

You can create a castle backdrop for her bed, create a faux chandelier using a circular wire frame, some decorative battery-powered candles, and faux flowers, or even use a large mirror in a beautiful frame to make her feel like she’s in a palace.

If you don’t want to DIY your princess decorations, Hobby Lobby, Target, and Amazon will be your best friends for princess decor! I got all my wall decor from Hobby Lobby, and the custom princess pictures from Etsy.

4) Add a Vanity Or Dress Up Corner:

A little girl’s bedroom can not look princess-inspired without a vanity table with a matching chair. You can use an old dresser or buy a new one and paint it in your chosen color scheme.

Add a big mirror, a lamp, and some storage for her hair accessories, make-up, and jewelry. Don’t forget the princess dress-up costumes!

5) Fantastic Princess Bedding and Pillows:

Finishing touches are essential to complete a princess-inspired bedroom. Add princess bedding with their favorite characters or prints, and some whimsical pillows like a pink fluffy pillow, a sequin star pillow, or a princess printed pillow.

In a nutshell, the princess-inspired little girl’s bedroom must be cozy and comfortable, so opt for the softest fabrics for bedding.
