After reading this article, you will know for sure what you need to do in your first trimester of pregnancy, gain guidance on how to complete some of these to do tasks, and be able to download the first trimester to-do list!
What is the First Trimester?
If you’re new to the pregnant lifestyle, you are probably wondering what the heck is in the first trimester, and is it bad? Lol. Fear not, momma! The first trimester is just a term used to explain the beginning period and stages of pregnancy. In total, there are 3-4 Trimesters ( Not that many people acknowledge the fourth trimester as one of the trimesters, it’s better known as Postpartum).
The first trimester ranges from Conception to Week 12 of Pregnancy. Typically, in the first trimester, mommies to be will face some unwanted symptoms due to the rapid change going on in their bodies. Think about it. You are growing a whole human inside of you!
If you ever freaked out over swallowing a watermelon seed, thinking it would grow inside of you, I know you are probably taking the idea of producing a whole human inside of you part hard.

In the first trimester, you must take care of yourself and your baby as much as possible since the miscarriage risk is higher in the first trimester and decreases as you further along in your pregnancy. 10 Things You Need To Do During the First Trimester
Now that you are pregnant there are things you need to get done! Here are the top 10 things you should consider doing during your first trimester:
1) Schedule Your First Prenatal Appointment with your Doctor.
The first and most important thing is to schedule your first prenatal appointment with your doctor. At this visit, you will be bombarded with so much information, so make sure you bring someone to take notes for you because guess what momma, that pregnancy brain is going to kick in faster than you think!
2) Start Taking Prenatal Vitamins
Go ahead and grab some prenatal vitamins or gummies that your doctor recommends in your first trimester. You might develop a problem swallowing the vitamins! So I suggested finding a gummy prenatal vitamin supplement that gives you the right amount to support you and your baby (consult with your doctors). I am only speaking based on my own personal experiences!
3) Start Planning Financially for Baby
It’s time to gather all the coins you have and start building a baby fund or adding on to the one you have already begun! 5) Learn what medications you can take and cannot take while pregnant.
When you are pregnant, you no longer can take a lot of medicines because of the baby. Check in with your doctor to determine which medications are okay to take and which ones are a big fat NO! Also, ask your doctor for a list of those approved medications; in this way, you won’t be at the store wondering which medicine your doctor said you could have!
6) Plan your Babymoon for the 2nd Trimester
With Pregnancy, there will be moments you feel like all you want to do is stay home and sleep, and others when you feel a bit more mobile and energized! Hint Hint, you’ll most likely be feeling your best during the 2nd trimester! The 2nd trimester is the optimal time to take a babymoon vacation! If you are not quite sure what a babymoon is, just think about it as a honeymoon but with a baby in the womb lol. You can run with that statement however, you want momma!
I would highly recommend that you take a trip to Disney World for your babymoon! You’ll be surprised at how many rides and attractions you can still ride while pregnant! And let’s not forget the fantastic food options at Epcot! You can seriously let your cravings go crazy at Disney World’s Epcot!
7) Think and Write Out Baby Names

You can be sure creative with this, or you can just be very simple with your baby bump picture collection! 10) Start coming up with a Birth Plan.

- Most women find the first and second trimesters to be the hardest! The first trimester can be hard for some women who are suffering from severe all-day sickness. The third trimester can be found hard due to the pressure and weight of a baby that mommy has to carry, and Brackson Hicks can be uncomfortable.

- To ensure you have a healthy baby, make sure you listen to your doctor’s advice and suggestions and take care of your body. Eat healthily, and exercise when you can!

My last period was about two months before I was found pregnant. They were able to determine how far along I was by Ultrasound (vaginal ultrasound during early pregnancy).
