We’ve included 3 different types of Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt styles including 14 different Thanksgiving-themed clues that you can use to hide around the house or outside. You can also use these clues for a Thanksgiving treasure hunt if you want to include prizes for the winner.
To make things even more fun, we’ve also included a list of bonus items that can be found around the house or outside. These bonus items are not required to be found in order to complete the Halloween scavenger hunt, but they will surely add to the fun!
Tips for Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt for Small Kids
If you have young kids ranging from ages 3 to 10 years old, our Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt printable with Pictures is the best one to use, since it would be easier for your Little one to take part in the Thanksgiving scavenger hunt fun! It is also advised to assist your kids in finding the items around the house and add small prizes for finding the items.
Some recommended prizes for small kids can be candy or items like stickers, coloring pages, turkey plush toys (super cute), and more! Don’t stress it now, We will leave recommendations later that can be found on Amazon for you later in this blog post!
Tips for Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt for Tweens and Teens
If you have kids that are tweens or teens, they would probably want more of a challenge than just finding items around the house. This is where it gets more challenging since they will need to answer riddles in order to find the next item on the scavenger hunt list.
You can make this more challenging by hiding the items in harder-to-find places, but we’ll leave that up to you. We’ve also included a list of bonus items that can be found around the house or outside. These bonus items are not required to be found in order to complete the Thanksgiving scavenger hunt unless you want them to be. It’s your rules, get creative and have fun with it!

You can hide these clues around the house or outside, depending on your preference.
Adults can still join in on the fun of the other two scavenger hunt styles, just either increase the prizes or make the location of the items more challenging!
How to Play Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt
Playing the Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt is simple! All you need to do is:
- Print out the PDF file of your choice
- Grab some prizes (optional)
- Hide the clues around your house or outside.
- Let the Thanksgiving Game Begin! (Join in the Thanksgiving festivities!)
Once you’ve hidden all the clues, give each player a copy of the clue list and let them start finding! The first person to find all the items on the list wins the game!
