This is non-negotiable, ladies. Trust me, I learned the hard way. There is nothing worse than being out and about with your baby and realizing that your stroller isn’t up to the task of keeping them warm and dry. Make sure to get a stroller that has a weatherproof canopy and boot (a waterproof cover for the foot area) to keep your baby warm and dry no matter what Mother Nature throws your way.

Heading out into the cold with a newborn means being prepared for anything, which is why I always make sure my diaper bag is stocked with everything we might need while we’re out and about. Some essential items include extra blankets, hats, and gloves (for both mom and baby), hand warmers, changes of clothes (in case of accidents), and plenty of snacks and drinks (for both mom AND baby!).
